India is far ahead of China, America, Japan and Thailand as far as finding a cure for COVID-19 is concerned.

New Delhi, March 16: Although the dreaded coronavirus has spread all over the world, India – for now at least – has managed to control the spread of the disease.

According to experts, as soon as coronavirus began to spread in China, the scientists of India sensed the danger and started working towards its removal.

The result of this is that India is far ahead of China, America, Japan and Thailand as far as finding a cure for COVID-19 is concerned.

It is said that India is far ahead of all other countries in developing a vaccine for coronavirus. This is the reason why many countries, along with America, China and Japan, are looking very keenly towards India.

A few days ago, American scientists claimed to have caught the coronavirus alive. But they could catch only one strain of COVID-19, while India has so far detected a total of eight strains of coronavirus. Scientists in India have also discovered how the coronavirus changes its form.

The number of people killed by the coronavirus all over the world has so far exceeded 5000, while more than 1.35 lakh people have been infected.

The number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 114 with one new case each in Ladakh, Odisha, Jammu and Kashmir, and Kerala, Health Ministry officials said on Monday.

The number includes 13 people who have been discharged after they recovered and two fatalities, they said.

The eastern state of Odisha has reported its first case.

Coronavirus has been confirmed among 4 suspects of a family in Sonbhadra in Uttar Pradesh (Uttar Prades), after which the number has risen to 13 in the state.

The number of coronavirus cases in India include two persons who have died in Delhi and Karnataka.

While a 76-year-old man from Kalaburagi who had recently returned from Saudi Arabia died on Thursday, a 68-year-old woman in Delhi who had tested positive for coronavirus passed away at the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital on Friday night.
