CBSE Board Exam 2020: In the midst of the ongoing Pan-India coronavirus lockdown, Class 10 and 12 students who are waiting for their pending CBSE Board exams are still confused. To this, as per media reports, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially denied the possibility of cancelation of the pending board exams.
“This pandemic is affecting all students across the country. The situation is continually being assessed for appropriate action by the authorities,” said CBSE PRO Rama Sharma, speaking to India Today.
With this, a CBSE board official speaking to a leading media house said that the discussions are still going on regarding the decision on the dates and a proper announcement will be made only after analyzing the situation after May 3, 2020, when the lockdown will be over.
CBSE Board exams 2020: New dates to be announced after the lockdown
After analyzing the situation post lockdown, CBSE will decide and announce the fresh dates for Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2020. The CBSE Board Exams 2020 was stopped midway for Class 12 students as schools were shut down due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The board exams for a few subjects had already been rescheduled in certain areas due to the North Delhi violence.
The ensuing Janata Curfew and Covid-19 lockdown further postponed the exams tillHRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal finally announced on April 1 that the CBSE Board Exams would be held only for those subjects that are required for college admissions in higher studies.
CBSE Board Exam 2020: Subjects for which examinations will be held for class 10
For class 10, CBSE will conduct the examinations of only those subjects whose examinations were postponed by the board because of law and order situation in North-East Delhi District.
These subjects are:
1. Hindi Course A
2. Hindi Course B
3. English Communication
4. English Language and Literature
5. Science
6. Social Science
CBSE Board Exam 2020: Subjects for which examinations will be held for class 12
Examination for the following main subjects would be conducted by CBSE for class 12:
1. Business Studies
2. Geography
3. Hindi (Elective)
4. Hindi (Core)
5. Home Science
6. Sociology
7. Computer Science (Old)
8. Computer Science (New)
9. Information Practice (Old)
10. Information Practice(new)
11. Information Technology
12. Bio-Technology
