New Delhi: A 30-year-old man staying at Delhi’s Vasant Kunj stepped out of his home on Friday to lodge an FIR with the nearby police station. The FIR is against his father who finds it impossible to stay inside the home, despite the ongoing 21-day lockdown. He finds some pretexts to go out and walk outside. The father-son duo was seen arguing on the street by the police as well.

From March 25, a nationwide lockdown has been imposed to check the rapid spread of the novel coronavirus which, so far, has claimed over 50 lives in India.

People have been advised to mostly stay inside to minimize the chances of contracting the virus. All trains, buses, metros are off the roads to make sure people stay inside. Stern actions are being taken against the flouters across the country. But many people on social media are complaining that it’s quite a challenge to coop elderly parents inside the home who feel they need to go out for a walk.

The case of the Vasant Kunj father-son duo is not surprising in this regard, but that the son went ahead and filed a case against the father is surely striking. The police has warned the father, said reports.
