Experts in China were claiming that controlling the coronavirus in China would take a long time and that the number of people affected could be in the millions. Levitt predicted in February that the situation in China would improve. After his prediction, the situation in China gradually improved.

Levitt also made an accurate estimate of the deaths due to corona patients and infections in China. He had estimated that 80,000 cases of corona may occur in China and 3250 deaths.
