Argentine international and Juventus forward Paulo Dybala confirmed on Saturday that he and his girlfriend Oriana have tested positive for novel coronavirus.

Dybala is currently asymptomatic and self-isolating at home. He revealed he had taken the test last week.

With this, Dybala becomes the third Juventus player to be tested positive for Covid-19 with Blaise Matuidi and Daniele Rugani being the other two.

“Hi everyone, I just wanted to inform you that we have received the results for the Covid-19 test and both Oriana and I have tested positive,” Dybala posted on Twitter.

Dybala announced that he and his girlfriend are in “perfect condition” and that he thanks his fans for their messages.

Notably, the forward had earlier denied of being infected by the virus.

Italy’s top-flight football league, Serie A has been postponed until April 3 as the global sporting calendar has been jolted by novel coronavirus outbreak. Only recently, the English football season suspension, including Premier League, was extended at least until end of April.
