Amit Shah offers prayer at Jagannath Temple in Puri

Puri, Feb 29: Union Home Minister Amit Shah this morning offered prayers in Jagannath Temple in Puri and spend around 25 minutes inside the temple premises.

Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also accompanied him.

Shah is on a two-day visit to Odisha. Today is the last day of his visit. Returning from Puri he will visit Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar.

Later, the Union Minister will attend the inauguration ceremony of SUM Ultimate Medicare (SUMUM) in the capital city.

It is Shah’s first visit to the state after becoming Union Home Minister.

Shah attended the the Eastern Zonal Council meeting here yesterday and then later addressed a pro-CAA rally at Janata Maidan here as part of his party’s countrywide awareness programme on CAA.

In the evening he discussed with party leaders and workers regarding party’s agenda and functioning in the state at Mayfair Hotel and left for Pri to spend night in the holy city to offer prayer to Lord Jagannath this morning.

After visiting Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar, Shah will leave for New Delhi.
