You are BCCI president now: Yuvraj Singh trolls Sourav Ganguly over Instagram photo

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly may have been among the most fierce characters on a cricket field but his innocence on social media is certainly grabbing attention.

Months after sharing a screenshot of a photo from his Google search results, Sourav Ganguly shared a photo from his Test debut at Lord’s and recalled the memories of his glorious hundred.

However, the photo had the watermark of its agency and World Cup-winning all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was quick to point it out.

Yuvraj did not stop there as he made a light-hearted comment on Ganguly’s Instagram post.

“Dada logo to hata lo !

Your Bcci president now please be professional (sic),” Yuvraj Singh wrote on Ganguly’s photo.

In the photo, Ganguly can be seen celebrating his maiden Test hundred while Rahul Dravid, his batting partner, watches on from behind.

Notably, Ganguly had scored 131 on his Test debut in 1996 against England at Lord’s that came 4 years after his 1st-ever outing in international cricket. Ganguly had followed it up with a hundred in Nottingham.

Ganguly has been involved in friendly banters with several of his former teammates. Being an avid social media user, Ganguly’s banters with his daughter Sana have also gone viral in the past.

On Thursday, Ganguly took to Instagram to tease his former teammate and opening partner Sachin Tendulkar after the latter uploaded a photo from his vacation in Australia.

“Kisi kisi ka kismat acha hai .. chuttii manate raho (Some people are just lucky. Keep holidaying),” Ganguly wrote as comment to Tendulkar’s photo wherein he can be seen basking in the Melbourne sun.

Sachin Tendulkar has been in Australia as he was part of Bushfire Bash, a charity match organised in Sydney on Sunday.

Tendulkar batted for the first time in five and a half years as he faced an over from Australian women’s cricketer Ellyse Perry during the charity match at Junction Oval, Melbourne.

The Bushfire Bash was a 10-over per side charity match between Ponting XI and Gilchrist XI, where a host of cricket legends are helping raise funds for the Australia bushfire relief effort. Tendulkar was named as the coach of Ponting XI.
