Fugitive godman Nithyananda buys island, forms own ‘nation’ near Ecuador

Rape-tainted self-styled godman Nithyananda, who recently fled India, has now started his own nation after purchasing private island from Ecuador, according to reports.

He has named the island as ‘Kailaasa’ and has already designed the flag, passport and emblem for the island nation.

The reports further stated that he has also appointed a cabinet headed by a Prime Minister.

Situated close to Trinidad and Tobago, the island has been reportedly declared a Hindu sovereign nation.

The “new nation” offers a temple-based ecosystem, science behind the third eye, yoga, meditation, and Gurukul education system, universal free health care, free education and free food for all, says his Ashram website . In the site, the self-styled guru is seeking donations and inviting people across the world to become citizens of his ‘nation’.

Nithyananda, who hails from Tamil Nadu, made headlines in 2010 when a video of him in a compromising position with an actress surfaced. He was later charged with rape and arrested.

Nithyananda fled India recently after a rape case was registered against him in Karnataka.

In Gujarat, the police were working to gather concrete evidence against him after taking two of his disciples in remand in a recent kidnapping case. An FIR was registered against the controversial guru on the charges of kidnapping and wrongful confinement of children to make them collect donations from followers to run his ashram in the state.
